Mike: It's good to hear from you, i remember getting an email sent to abby and myself some months back explaining that you were moving to cambridge you never said why, and to this very day ive had to fill in the gaps with the random knowledge i have accumulated from episodes of Lovejoy and the film "shanghai knights", let's just say you had us worried missy...
and
Mike:...This coincidence reminds of an event last february when i was visiting morten, my poet-photographer friend in Copenhagen; city of snow, bicycles, wikings. We were leaving an all night reggea-dub party and stumbling drunk (we spoke to cats) we headed for home and to play on the open air deserted ice-rink....(it does not really work without skates). We were walking through old cobbled streets alligned with rows and rows of parked bicycles, all chained to rails, put to sleep by their owners. Morten begins to tell me that he used to ride a bicycle all over copenhagen , and this i cannot at first imagine unlless it is with an endless cigarette in one hand and a glass of red vino in the other. So he explains his fondness for his bike, and how he dented it whilst cycling drunk with a cigarette in his hand, he had lost it that night, two years ago, and thought it had probably been stolen after he had left it abandoned. just as he is describing the bike to me, he stops; his face becoming amazing and sober. "Its my fucking bike" he says, staring at the parked and battered bicycle (with a basket, real copenhagen style) standing right in front of us, "its MY fucking BIKE". he got out his bicycle ID that he had been carrying since he lost it, and it matched the bike. He had drunkenly sumbled onto his stolen bicycle.
Tom:Are you telling me that this sucker's nuclear?
Me: Sorry I haven't been on MSN much lately, I'm working in a real office
till the end of May. Unfortunately they won't fork out on new
computers so I don't have MSN access and spend my days using bloody
Windows '88 on a Commodore PET or something.
Ben: spent a fine weekend helping oppong (10) write his play the amazing
adventure in iceland.
it was about a sherbet lemon who was a karate instructor and a hedgehog who
is scared of trays and makes shampoos.
i think it's another winner.
